Progress dear children, progress. Let's peek in at the into the storm engine. First off, we have a needless amount of local shows booked. During that local hootinany we are in the process of throwing rough tracks together for the songs on our upcoming EP "captain, my captain". Of course, with that we are constructing Sub Dude, our in house recording studio with which we will record all those crazy jams. To top that sucker off we have a 9 day Best Coast tour loop planned from July 16th-July 25th. Alas, further down the looking glass we see our very first conquering of this country. Thirty five days in October of pure storm rolling around these plains.

Oh, and lastly, more consumables for you to collect. A new t-shirt, stickers and such will be delivered to our hands in the next few months.

Snoogins.

A new decade is upon us brothers and sisters. Rejoice in the ever-cyclical chance to squeegee clean your self-conscious and pretend to start anew. Oh boy, what's this! Another crazy awesome review from the guys over at RAZORCAKE.

"Dang! Initially, this band’s name and CD artwork had me expecting a third-rate metal band. Not the case. It’s kind of hard to explain exactly what Into The Storm sounds like. Much of this record sounds like I, Fail-era The Spectacle-meets-Catharsis, but the music occasionally ventures into Breather Resist/Young Widows and/or Oceanic-era Isis territory, without remaining drone-y for too long. There’s even some 90s “screamo” vibe going on here, like Shotmaker-style rock parts. It’s also smattered with off-kilter, atonal leads ala Black Flag and even captures some of that SST tone like St.Vitus or later Bl’ast. Regardless of who it sounds like, it’s heavy without being metallic, quirky in that Washington way, super intense, and fucking awesome. Lyrics are dark and poetic but hopeful without getting too corny. Even the aesthetic of the name and layout lost its “metal-ness” once I spent some time with the record. Great dynamics, cool samples, very ‘90s. Right up my alley."

We present to you the fruits of our labor, free of charge. Thirteen months of work toiling away recording at the Red Room in Seattle, WA and finally finishing up at our in-house studio in Bellingham. This is the birthing of our first full length "amidst a sea of chaos". An ode to all that the world has rewarded the open minded.

Now that the past has been tended to, let's look to the future. Work has already begun on the next EP, duely titled "captain, my captain". Five songs of unending madness that will leave you feeling so uncomfertable you will be tempted to call your mother and have her remind you of your own mortality. Our current plans are to record sometime in 2010 and release thereafter. As always, we will be playing around the greater Northwest all months, every month. Be on the watch for the show calendar/social networking hubs.

Oh and would you look at this! A brand new domain to call home on the everflowing iNet. No more wasted time on the sharing of excessively, and needlessly, compressed myspace mp3s. All hail the glorious free, uncompressed downloads from the storm's own domain-server.

And such.
